'Overwatch' DLC release date, update: Sombra to be released in next DLC?; New PC patch buffs Ana, tweaks McCree

 Blizzard Entertainment

The "Overwatch" roster just got bigger, better and meaner with the addition of Ana, another one of the founding members of Overwatch. Just days after her addition, the new warrior was tweaked to be stronger.

Ana gets a buff by developer Blizzard Entertainment in the latest PC patch for "Overwatch." While she has quickly become a fan-favorite, gamers thought she was a bit weak.

"While Ana has been very well received, she was showing to be a little bit weaker overall. In addition to helping her feel better to play, these changes should also increase her healing and damage output," Blizzard wrote on the forums.

As Kotaku mentioned, fans urged Blizzard to give Ana a tweak to make her a stronger character and the developer answered the call of the "Overwatch" community.

The buff comes in the form of Ana's Biotic Rifle, whose rate of fire was increased by 20 percent and the magazine size increased from 8 to 10.

McCree was also given some adjustments in the "Overwatch" patch. The damage falloff range of the gunslinger's Peacemaker was decreased by 10 meters, but the amount remains the same.

Blizzard deemed that this range made McCree a bit too powerful. The developer explained that while it helped McCree, the range was "a bit too much in the right hands.

Despite this, it is to be noted that even though the fallout range was slashed, it remains higher than it was at the "Overwatch" launch. Also, the rate of the vigilante's alternate fire was increased by 15 percent.

Thanks to the "Overwatch" update, McCree can fire a flashbang every after 0.35 second, which is a tad higher than before, which was 0.5 second.

Meanwhile, it is being rumored that the next "Overwatch" DLC will finally add Sombra. Blizzard has purposely been leaving traces and clues of her existence in the game.

Sombra sounds like an important character in the title, and it is believed that the next "Overwatch" DLC will finally bring her to the fold.
