What lies ahead in Outlander? With the series taking quite a long respite, fans are clueless on what lies ahead for the TV series. However, fans may not have to wait any longer with the series expected to air on April 4 in the US.

And if fans are to take creator Ronald Moore's words seriously, fans and viewers are in for the episodes that lie ahead. Moore bares that the remaining episodes will be shocking and that fans who have not actually read Gabaldon's novels will be in for a surprise.

Apparently the said shocking episodes will most likely dictate the way the series will go up to perhaps the season finale. In all, Moore bares that the fascinating journey is something that will live up to its premise of seeing the unexpected.

Sam Heughan, who plays Jaime, adds that despite the long lay-off, it will be truly worth it, and the final eight episodes are something that he confidently believes will make up for it.

Among the scenes to expect include how Clair (Caitrone Balfe) and Jaime take their relationship to the next level, highlighted by a supposed short honeymoon.

 Balfe thanks Game of Thrones
A similar show to the Outlander is of course another popular series, the Game of Thrones. While Game of Thrones is more of a fantasy-based series, Balfe clears out that Outlander is a show set in a more realistic setting.

Regardless, Balfe credits Game of Thrones for helping open the doors for Outlander.

Tourism Boost
With most of their sets shot on location, a benefactor for all this was Scotland. It was revealed that with the popularity of Outlander, companies over there experience up to 500% increase in bookings, particularly on Outlander-themed tours.

With all these feedback, it seems that Outlander is set for a grand return as it resumes showing after taking a long hiatus. Will the wait truly be worth it? Check it out this April 4, when Outlander returns with the final eight episodes of its first season.

The show has already been renewed for a second season which will be made up of at least 13 episodes.
