"Outlander" season 2 release date will still be sometime in March or April of next year and fans think that it seems like a long wait for Starz' time travel series.

However, last week, "Outlander" took to Twitter to showcase some sneak peek photos of season 2.

The first one uploaded was a photo of the film location, which is in Paris. The popular Starz series based on Diana Gabaldon's second book titled "Dragonfly in Amber" will take place in the area.

The photo had a caption that said the show will bring more set photos in the weeks to come.

With teaser photos expected to be posted each week, it will surely make all the fans excited for season 2's release.

"Outlander" is a much loved series that upon its midseason premiere night last April, it garnered 1.22 million viewers, TV Line reported.

Apart from its captivating story, all of the actors gave out stellar performances to make the show loveable as it is.

One such actor is Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser in the story, and is now a predicted winner of a Golden Globe award, according to a report from Gold Derby.

Thanks to a strong fan base who continue to support "Outlander," Heughan got a top spot in the list of TV drama actors who could bag the coveted award.

The report from Gold Derby stated that the 35-year-old actor places second in the list, trailing behind Kevin Spacey ("House of Cards").

According to International Business Times, the number of votes by editors, experts in TV industry, and the users determine the actors' rankings.

Heughan had the highest number of votes from users, but didn't get any from editors. Three editors' vote went to Spacey who places first, while "Mr. Robot's" Rami Malek in fourth place managed to earn one vote from the editors.
