OnePlus 2 vs. iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6: Which phone to choose?

 Apple.com

OnePlus 2 has finally been released and so far, there's some information on the next-generation smartphone dubbed to be the "Flagship Killer."

The real question now is, will the new OnePlus phone be able to top the popular favorites Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6?

OnePlus 2 carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor. Aside from that, the new phone is said to have its camera as the most notable feature.

The website 9to5mac has put up a comparison to show just how well OnePlus 2 competes with Samsung and iPhone flagships.

It was reported that there is a huge difference in the megapixel count, with iPhone 6 having an 8-megapixel camera versus OnePlus 2's 13-megapixel camera.

The former features dual-LED flash, 1.2-megapixel front camera, and a phase detection autofocus, while the latter also has a dual-LED flash, an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Laser Focus at the back, and a 5-megapixel front camera.

That's quite a big difference in the camera specifications, but how about Galaxy S6?

S6 offers a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS, LED flash, autofocus, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera — features that are not far from OnePlus 2, which puts iPhone 6 behind in the camera aspect.

For the more serious phone specs, it appears that OnePlus smartphone's under-the-hood features surpass that of iPhone 6, but that doesn't mean that the latter doesn't perform well. Even if iPhone 6 is almost celebrating its first birthday, the device still works with ease.

As for OnePlus 2 versus S6 in phone specs, both devices can be great choices. Android Central wrote that OnePlus packs in a 3,300 mAh battery compared to Samsung's 2,550 mAh.

Furthermore, OnePlus has 4GB RAM and S6 has 3GB; however, S6 offers better screen resolution with HD quality.

It seems that OnePlus 2 does pack up powerful features compared to the two major flagships. In addition, OnePlus is even priced very competitively than the two rivals, being sold only at $389 by an "invite-only system."

To conclude, all three smartphones offer very decent features that are competitive enough to get customers to think twice on which phone to choose.

OnePlus 2 may have several features that beat the rest for an affordable price; but in the end, it's not just the dollars that should be considered when buying a phone.
