Many fans are getting restless for the release of "One Punch Man" season 2, even if it was only confirmed a few months back. Avid followers are hoping for a 2016 release, but since the year is already at its end, fans are crossing their fingers that it would premiere early next year.

It was only last September that the upcoming season was confirmed. The announcement was made during the "One Punch Man Autumn Festival" that happened in Japan. However, neither date nor any other details were given.

Before, the big news, it was reported that Yusuke Murata, the series creator, was already preparing the materials for the next season and will work hard to complete it at the soonest possible time. A single season requires tons of sketches and storyboards, and it normally takes at least a year to prepare, according to News Everyday.

Now, since no confirmation was made about its development prior to the announcement, it is safe to assume that it was only recently that preparation has started. It is also possible that the premiere date for the second season may commence by October next year, similar to its first season in Japan. The English dubbed version began airing on Toonami last July.

With regards to the story, one theory suggests that Saitama will be pitted against Garou, who is known as the Human Monster and has an overwhelming hatred against heroes. A love triangle is also speculated to occur in the upcoming season. Saitama is said to fall in love with a girl who also happens to be the love interest of one of his friends. A report from iTechPost even suggested that Saitama will get upset with the crowd, and the incident would then cause him to turn bad, leading to Saitama possibly acting against them.

Meanwhile, diehard "One Punch Man" fans could be interested in having a 1/6 scale articulated action figure of Saitama. This is a three zero offering and is available in standard and special edition sets of the most powerful hero alive.

The standard version shows Saitama in his hero costume and retails for $160. The special edition includes an extra red and gray hoodie for a more casual look. It retails for $180. Both versions include extra heads with serious and comical expressions. Multiple hands in different forms are also included.
