There were tons of juicy details that were revealed in Disney's D23 event for "Once Upon a Time" season 5. For starters, attendees were treated to a footage that showed the scenes in the first minute of the season premiere.

[Spoiler Alert!] The video begins with Hook picking up the dagger to summon Emma. Henry, Mary Margaret, Snow, Charming and David all watch but to no avail. Regina stops him from making another attempt, telling him that the love of his life is "not in this world."

Regina then questions, "How could she be so stupid?" but Snow makes her realize that what Emma did saved her life. Although she acknowledges Emma's noble deed, she can't help but worry.

"Now she's a problem for all of us," she says.

In the event, it was revealed that everyone who wants to save Emma are at odds in actually executing it, which will make it harder for them to bring her back to normal.

Meanwhile, executive producer Edward Kitsis said during the event that it won't take long for fans to meet Merida, who steps into Storybrooke in season 5.

"We will meet her in the premiere and how we meet her I don't want to spoil," Kitsis said via Access Hollywood

Executive producer Adam Horowitz then said that Amy Manson was "fantastic" in playing the character from "Brave." On the other hand, Ginnifer Goodwin, who plays Snow, told Zap2it that Merida will be edgy like her character in the animated film.

"There's always room for more strong women, so she's right at home," she said.

During the D23 event, Kitsis and Horowitz said that the next Disney characters to follow Merida to Storybrooke include Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood, Ariel, Balefire, Ursula and Cora. It remains to be seen which characters will actually make it to the show.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 premieres Sept. 27.
