NVIDIA Shield Android TV update: SHIELD Experience Upgrade 3.2 rolls out, includes Plex Media Server support and more

NVIDIA has just rolled out its update 3.2 version to its Shield Android TV which will now allow its users to run directly the Plex Media Server directory and does not need to have a separate computer to act as the server. There are also several new features and apps that will make ones viewing experience more pleasurable than before.

The company has announced the arrival of its latest update, version 3.2 a few days ago and Shield Android TV owners will also experience:

YouTube vides will now run in 4K UHD. Nothing beats an ultra-high definition resolution, which can go high up as 60 FPS, frames per second speed. This feature will offer streaming videos with smoother quality than before.

HDR support for Netflix shows. The Shield Android TV box can now be paired with an HDR TV to enjoy a high quality movies and TV series from the streaming giant. Users will be able to enjoy brighter and highly detailed quality.

VUDU is also now available in 4K quality. Users can enjoy the latest movie and TV series offered by the streaming company in very good and highly detailed quality streams.

Dolby Atmos is now supported on NVIDIA's TV box and will compliment well the good video quality it can offer. Rich Dolby sound can now be experienced from shows or streams coming from VUDU, MX Player, SPMC, and SHIELD's preinstalled Photos & Videos app.

Media Streaming has never been easier with update 3.2. Since PLEX Media Server is now working smoothly, once can stream their personal media collection to other devices, mobile or fixed, as well as inside or outside of the house. A NAS or network-attached storage will run smoothly with the company's HD transcode built right in the device.

The latest update also brings in to the table a natural language search feature that will let is uses scan online and offline media contents. The search can also include 60-plus apps available for the device. Additional apps will also let the device stream sports stream or music stream to the TV, which were a little complicated before the update.
