NVIDIA is not yet done releasing its latest GPU products. It was rumored earlier that a GTX 1050 is in the works and could be released soon. Now, it is speculated to be unveiled on Oct. 26.

A Korean website, HWBattle, claims that the alleged GTX 1050 will be released this month. The so-called graphics card will be the first to use the cut-down version of the 16 nm Pascal-based GP107 GPU core, and it is expected to be worth around $119. It is also considered a direct competitor to the AMD RX 460.

According to WCCFTech, the upcoming card will also be requiring fewer power requirements. There is no need for a 6- or 8-pin power connector since it will be a sub-75 watts card. Aside from that, it is said to be containing 640 CUDA cores, a base clock of 1,354 MHz, a boosted clock of 1,455 MHz, and a computing power of 1.8 TFLOPS.

Its video RAM will be at 2 GB BDDR5, it will have a 128-bit bus, and it will come with three Display Port 1.4, as well as a single HDMI 2.0B output.

The gaming performance of the upcoming card is nowhere near the GTX 1080, but it could still handle AAA games that were recently released, provided their graphics settings are only set to mid-range. It is speculated to deliver around 50 FPS on medium settings at 1080p screen resolution. This setup will work if the gaming rig is already loaded with a high-end processor and at least 8 GB of RAM.

Custom models from Asus Strix, MSI Gaming, Gigabyte G1 Gaming, and Gigabyte Mini ITX OC are already listed on their respective websites. All with 2 GB VRAM and with the suggested retail price DigiWorthy reported.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA is also rumored to release its GTX 1050 Ti model, which contains 4 GB DDR5 RAM, 768 CUDA cores, a 1,290 MHz base clock, and a 1,392 MHz boosted clock. It is expected to offer up to 2.1 TFLOPS of computing power on its 128-bit bus interface.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 is expected to arrive on Oct. 26 for $119, but the GTX 1050 Ti is rumored to arrive earlier, on Oct. 19, with a price of $149.
