Releasing a new video game console is only half the equation. If there will be no games coming from the publisher that is configured to run on a new device, it is destined to fail. Nintendo is set to t release their new Switch, formerly known as the NX, by March 2017 and it has happily announced that more game publishers have shown interest in their upcoming device.

Tatsumi Kimishima, CEO of Nintendo, has posted on Twitter recently that more publishers have shown interest with their upcoming device after they released a video introducing their game device. Kimishima said in the post, "Happy additional third-party publishers showed interest in Switch after our introduction video last week."

The video showed that the revolutionary console is expected to cater to both mobile and traditional console gaming fans. The Nintendo Switch can be used as a handheld device, similar to the Nintendo 3DS and a PS Vita. It is said to be sporting a 6.2-inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen that will also work as a stand-alone tablet. It comes equipped with a with detachable controllers. The controllers can also be used even if it is unattached to the device.

A docking port is also included with the package. Based on the video, gamers can dock the handheld parts while at home, which will give them the option to continue playing their games on a big screen.

Kimishima also mentioned in another tweet that the company will be shipping 2 million units within the fiscal year. If the demand increases, they will easily adjust the production in order to comply with the request. He said, "Can increase production of Switch from current 2 million plan this FY if demand shown strong at events."

The Nintendo Switch is also speculated to include a USB Type-C port to charge the device, a 720p screen resolution for the handheld device, and a micro SDXC card reader. It is also rumored to have a $450 price tag, but fans will be able to confirm this on January 12 when the company reveals more information during a live stream event.
