Nintendo fans are very excited for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2016 event that will happen this weekend since it is rumored that the NX console could be launched during the game.
The Nintendo NX hype is on its highest this week. It started when Nintendo Everything reported that gaming personality Kevin Pereira posted Snapchat photos of a conference room prepared for Nintendo's use during the recently concluded GameStop Expo 2016 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
Pereira played along and even sent out cryptic tweets that read "NX news tomorrow" and "mobile-console two-in-one." The event ended, and the company did not bring anything related to the NX.
However, a NeoGAF discussion board revealed that Nintendo execs did say something about the upcoming console, and according to the blow-by-blow account, Pereira asked the audience if they wanted to hear some NX news while pointing towards an unnamed executive at the stage who immediately said, "not yet, but very soon."
Now, fans are speculating again that something could also possibly happen during the TGS 2016 this weekend. Nintendo has promised several times that details will be provided soon, but it actually never happened. However, this upcoming event will be held in Japan, the home country of Nintendo.
Forbes even suggested that now is the perfect time for the company to announce something big related to its NX. There are already several Nintendo-related events happening within the community, the announcement of a new "Pokémon Sun and Moon" themed 3DS XL, the "Super Mario Run" coming to the iOS and Android mobile devices, and the "Pokémon GO." The conditions are said to be perfect for an NX announcement.
Meanwhile, there is also another rumor going around the community suggesting that the upcoming console has suffered another delay and could possibly be launched after March 2017. There are even speculations that it would not be available until October of next year.
The Nintendo NX console is expected to be revealed by March 2017.
