Nintendo previously announced that a NES classic edition will arrive in November and will come with 30 games and a better resolution compared to the original system. It was also mentioned that would-be owners of the upcoming video game system will also be able to save their games temporarily and permanently.

The company announced in July that they will be bringing back the original system that cemented the reputation of the company in the gaming history, the NES. They will also be bringing a few goodies. These include an HD resolution with pixel-perfect mode and 4:3 mode, which will allow players to view the games in different viewing options with its built-in 30 games, as well as the option to save their progress on a game.

IGN reported that Nintendo of Canada communications manager Julie Gagnon said all the games included will have instant save points as well as permanent save points. The temporary save points will only be used during the specific game session and will not be available once the console is turned off. Players can get right back into action where they have left off and do not need to start all over again.

The NES classic edition is comparatively smaller than the original NES that was released back in 1985. Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America President and COO, said earlier, "We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo's original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place. The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers," according to Nintendo Life.

The upcoming classic console can be connected to any HDMI TV and will come with a single controller that also looks like the classic NES pad. For gamers who still have the original system around and would like to enjoy some two-player action, they can also use the classic controller with the newer system.

The Nintendo NES classic edition will arrive on Nov. 11 with 30 pre-loaded games for US$59.99.
