New 'Minecraft Pocket Edition' update brings different add-ons, underwater tweaks

Mojang introduces more features to "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" with the new "The Boss update."

The new update for the mobile version of popular sandbox video game launches two new game features that are also available for the Windows 10 beta edition.

The first one called Add-Ons could be considered as a major update for the game. With the use of Add-Ons, players can start modifying their "Minecraft" world according to their needs.

Based on the feature's description on the game's official website, the Add-Ons can be used to start coming up with new mods for all Minecraft editions. This could also help them transform the worlds that they created within the game as well as change mob behavior.

All the customized creations made using the Add-Ons can be easily shared with friends and other "Minecraft" players by posting it over the Minecraft Realms.

The new "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" update also introduces a new part of the Minecraft world called the Ocean Monuments. It will come with its underwater inhabitants called the Guardians and Elder Guardians, as well as other under the sea items such as prismarine and sea lanterns, among others.

Some of the contents of the latest "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" update include the Nether star, the Beacon, the Wither, as well as wet and dry sponges.

It also comes with the latest Creative inventory search feature, custom key bindings, the ability to upload and download worlds, and the ability to promote players to become operators in the game's Realms.

The new update also comes with several in-game tweaks, including UI and performance improvements and fixes for some of the game's glitches. With the new update, the fishing rods and the arrows will now fire in more than a single direction. The water texture also comes with several fixes so that creating underwater world more enjoyable.

The new "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" update can be downloaded for free on the Microsoft Store.
