"Nebula Realms" fans were deeply disappointed when game developer Xaloc Studios decided to pull the plug temporarily on the game. Server issues came one after another since the game went online a week ago, and the studio has announced to take the game off of the PlayStation Network.
The game went live last Oct. 25, and PlayStation 4 players were able to download the game from the PS Network, but the game servers are not going online. After a full day of waiting, Nebula_CM posted an update on the forum. They apologized for the delay and informed its community that there is a huge bottleneck on the servers. The post also said that the issue was being worked on, and they will give an update as soon as possible.
The Xaloc Team gave several more updates to its fans in the succeeding days. There were times that several posts were made in a day, but these did not really contain any good news. It had the same message as before, an apology for the delay and that the development team is working on the issues that cause the delay.
By Oct. 30, the Xaloc team said: "It's been a very long weekend but it paid off, we added improvements and fixed several bugs. The bottleneck is fixed, now we need to improve the server stability to handle that huge amount of players' calls, it might be up and running soon but unfortunately it won't be today," and it sounded promising. At the same time, the forum's shoutbox was turned off due to racist remarks and abusive words towards the staff, as Tech Raptor reported.
"Nebula Realms" servers went live on Nov.1 for a short while. A new message was also posted on the game's Facebook page, stating that the servers were still unstable and further work was required.
Finally, on Nov. 3, the Xaloc team gave its final word, for now. In an apologetic statement, they announced that their servers were not equipped to handle the huge amount of data transfer, which causes it to fatally crash every time. The only option left at the moment was to pull the game out of the PlayStation Network. No time frame was also given by the developer, but they ensured that they will be back with better game servers.
"Nebula Realms" is a 3D social world that allows players to access and customize their spaces freely. Players can also take part in several mini-games built right into the game. No beta tests were performed on the game before it launched late last month, and it is probably the reason why the servers were plagued by issues.
