"NCIS:Los Angeles" is currently on its winter break, but fans don't need to wait out longer because the show will return earlier next year, which is indeed great news.

Nothing has been revealed about the next episode, except that it bears the title "Core Values." While fans are waiting for the official synopsis from CBS, MNR Daily reported that the next episode may feature something that drives the NCIS team to work efficiently,

The upcoming episode is expected to focus more on Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah), especially when these two characters were involved in a heart-to-heart talk in the midseason finale episode.

Back in the episode titled "Internal Affairs," Deeks was apprehended for murder charges and his team needs to find a solution to prove he is not guilty. However, it turns out that he really is guilty of the crime.

Despite being proven not guilty with the team's support, Deeks can't help but be bothered by his conscience that he had to tell someone the truth.

In the previous episode, titled "Cancel Christmas," Deeks finally told Kensi that he killed his ex-partner to save Tiffany, an informant.

However, it was revealed that Kensi knew Deeks' secret all along and was waiting for him to be ready to tell the truth. It also didn't change the way how Kensi looks at Deeks.

Deeks' big reveal was the midseason finale's shocking twist, but beyond that, the show didn't offer much of a cliffhanger, CarterMatt noted. With that said, episode 12 is only expected to feature more twists to the story to keep fans captivated.

In the meantime, viewers should tune in for more updates as an official synopsis should be released sometime in the coming weeks.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 7 will return to CBS with new episodes starting Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at 10 p.m. EST.
