According to the latest drop of NBA trade rumors, the Boston Celtics will be pursuing Jaylen Brown in the upcoming offseason to build the franchise into a playoff contender.

CBS Sports reports that Boston is among the three franchises "who have done the most research on Cal's Jaylen Brown." The other two are the Phoenix Suns and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

NBA trade rumors claim that the Celtics are so interested with having Brown on board that he was invited for a second workout. He reportedly impressed Boston during the first time he came in.

According to various sports sites, Brown and Celtics are a match made in heaven. Chatsports says that his athleticism will seal the deal with Boston.

Celtics Blog adds Brown, who stands at 6 ft and 7 inches, has his "fully formed basketball body" and "perfect measurements for the modern NBA" as proof that Celtics should undeniably pursue him.

However, Brown's inconsistent in-game skills have many teams concerned. His last season with the Golden Bears was rife with turnovers and poor shot selection.

However, the Celtics choose to look at his skills on both defense and offense. The franchise believes that the freshman from University of California, Berkley will develop into an explosive performer in time.

Celtics Blog writes that there's a lot riding on Brown delivering with the expectations he will bloom into a key player for Boston, which is why it will be a big risk for Celtics, which, if it goes their way, will reap them big fruits.

Apart from the glaring athleticism and strength that will easily make him a feared winger, Brown pairs the brawn with the brains.

As a chess enthusiast, Brown, who also aspires to be a scholar, knows all about strategy and thinking ahead, which he applies in the court too.
