'NBA 2K17' release date, roster update: 1992 and 2016 USA basketball teams join game; 50-song soundtrack featured

More surprises await fans as the release date of "NBA 2K17" gets near. In a little more than a month from now, gamers will be able to experience the 50-song game soundtrack, the 1992 USA Basketball "Dream Team" for early takers of the game, bonuses and more. A dramatic game trailer was also released by publisher 2K Sports.

The company recently revealed the 50 songs that gamers could expect to hear when playing the game. Grimes, Noah Shebib and Imagine Dragons organized the playlist that includes Drake's "Pop Style,"Jay-Z's "Heart of the City (Ain't No Love), " OutKast's "Rosa Parks" and Imagine Dragons' "Friction." Skepta, Action Bronson, Santigold, Sam Sparro and CRO are just a few of the artists whose songs are also included on the soundtrack. The compilation is also available on Spotify.

Prior to this, 2K Sports announced that early takers of the game will also be able to access the 1992 USA Basketball "Dream Team" as an additional bonus for pre-orders. This was the first Olympics team that consisted of active NBA players, which include Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson and Chris Mullin. A new card design for MyTEAM will also be included.

"NBA 2K17" will also feature the 2016 USA Basketball team and gamers who have the Dream Team can pit them against each other. Additionally, a new game trailer for the upcoming game was also released recently, which features the two teams with a background of the United States' national anthem playing.

The upcoming game will be available in three editions -- Standard will have Paul George on the cover, while Legend and Legend Gold will have Kobe Bryant. Different bonuses are also included, with the Gold version offering the most.

"NBA 2K17" is slated for release on Sep. 20 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
