'Mr. Robot' has proven to be a huge success when it was renewed for another season even before the first season wrapped up. Now, the show is about to get bigger as it extends its reach to the British audience after Amazon United Kingdom picked up the second season.

Amazon obtained the U.K. rights to "Mr. Robot" last month, and according to CNET, all the episodes in season 1 can be viewed by Amazon Prime subscribers for free. Meanwhile, when season 2 begins in the United States, U.K. viewers can also catch the series weekly via Amazon Video shortly after the broadcast in USA Network.

The exact release date of the drama thriller has yet to be announced but it should arrive sometime next year. The latest update on the show is that the geniuses behind the show's captivating storylines will be heading back to work for the second season, an exclusive report from Deadline stated.

Also, a season 1 marathon will also be held before New Year's Eve, the news outlet continued. The show will start on Dec. 29 at 11 p.m.

Deadline gathered the news during a "Mr. Robot' event held in Los Angeles last Wednesday night. Along with the marathon announcement, the news portal managed to gather some teasers from series creator Sam Esmail.

Esmail has been reserved with his responses when it comes to questions about season 2. When asked how Mr. Robot, a product of Elliot's (Rami Malek) imagination, can possibly converse with other people in Elliot's circle, the creator only replied that it will be addressed once season 2 airs. It was also revealed that they may consider pitching the storyline of Elliot meeting druglord Fernando Vera (Elliot Villar), as he avenges Shayla's (Frankie Shaw) death.

Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Christian Slater will come back in season 2 to reprise Mr. Robot or Edward Alderson, Elliot's father who's been dead a long time.

Slashfilm reported that Slater's appearance could only be flashbacks or it could also mean that Elliot will still meet his alter ego.
