"Mr. Robot" is one of the TV shows that is undoubtedly received well by audiences, considering it got renewed to a second season even before the first season aired on USA Network.

Now that season 1 is over, fans just can't wait for what season 2 has to offer. Adding to the excitement is the fact that season 2's release date has yet to be announced.

In season 1's finale episode, Elliot (Rami Malek) had an unseen visitor to his apartment.

Adding to the mystery is the post-credits scene that showed the enigmatic Whiterose (BD Wong) having a meeting with Evil Corp. CEO Philip Price (Michael Cristofer).

But what the meeting means remains a complete mystery that only season 2 will be able to answer.

Luckily, showrunner Sam Esmail talked to The Hollywood Reporter about the final scene and how it would influence the development of the second season.

According to Esmail, he felt weird having to end season 1 with a scene that did not involve one of the core characters, so he found a way to place the Whiterose scene in the after credits.

The practice of having a post-credits scene is not usual in TV shows and the writing team initially thought it was a bad way to end the season, but Esmail said that the writing team thought it was perfect in the end.

The show is generally about Elliot and how he needs to accomplish his goal, which is to bring the world to chaos.

"We're about to watch Rome burn. That's the world Elliot's going to enter next season," Esmail revealed in the report.

It seems that the next season is going to be an explosive and more interesting show for fans.

Meanwhile, after proven success of "Mr. Robot," the show will now be viewable via Amazon Prime.

According to reports, the series has handed over exclusive rights to Amazon to allow its streaming via Amazon Prime.

By next spring, "Mr. Robot" season one, which only has 10 episodes, will be available to Amazon Prime members.

The show will be available in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and Austria.

A release date for "Mr. Robot" season 2 has not been announced, but rumors point to a June/July 2016 premiere.
