"Mr. Robot" is a show that does not really give away many things before an episode arrives, but there were two things that were included in its synopsis. First, Darlene (Carly Chaikin) and Angela's (Portia Doubleday) plan is not going the way they wanted it to be. Second, as Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) tries to convince Elliot (Rami Malek) that he has still some purpose for him.
"Mr. Robot tries to prove to Elliot that he can be useful; Darlene and Angela's plan does not go as expected, " is the synopsis for the upcoming episode, which is titled, "eps2.4m4ster-s1ave.aes."
So it seems that Elliot is trying to ditch his alter ego, after coming to terms with the fact that Mr. Robot is just a figment of his imagination. He even told Angela about it during the last episode. A promo trailer was also released showing fsociety team telling Elliot that they still have more work to do, and Angela insisting that she can learn how to hack in a single day.
Additionally, it looks like Elliot's newfound pal Ray (Craig Robinson) is not really on his side. The trailer shows Elliot being held captive by Ray, beating him to a pulp. However, it does not end there, and it seems that Elliot is about to receive another round of physical torture.
Several fans have expressed their dislike for Ray on the subReddit for "Mr. Robot." They were beginning to like him, and then this happened. They do all agree that Elliot should not have trusted him in the first place.
Also, fans have expressed their excitement about the series, especially those who the use Linux. They are even discussing the program that was seen in the trailer, and one user said, "Elliot is using openWRT Backfire 10.03.1. He is connected via ssh probably to a router. #uname -a to check kernel's version and /exploit_dev/bin to launch a femtopwn attack. I think that he is using the big drone from the last episode to attack WLANWLAN22 (fbi wireless network where android's clients connect in the building?)"
One even noticed that Angela made a mistake in the command line when she was about to execute the exploit made by Elliot.
"Mr. Robot" season 2 episode 6 airs on Aug. 10, Wednesday, at 10 p.m. on USA Network.
