Episode 5 of USA Network's cyberpunk-thriller drama series "Mr. Robot" will see fsociety's attempt to penetrate the most security data facility in the United States.

In "eps1.4_3xpl0its.wmv," Cartermatt reports that the team of hackers will begin the attack on Steel Mountain and accomplish the plan to wipe out everyone's debts and destroy Evil Corp. In the previous episode, Elliot (Rami Malek) persuaded Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) to not bomb the facility and endanger more lives. Instead, he concocted a plan to implant a device that could raise the temperature high enough to destroy only the machines.

Unfortunately, Elliot's withdrawal from heroin threatened to derail everything, and he was put by Mr. Robot in a motel room to detoxify. He experienced highly vivid hallucinations that kept him debilitated. What came as a surprise to viewers was the way the normally taciturn Mr. Robot cared for him, especially as his reasons to adamantly keep Elliot with fsociety was still unknown.

Meanwhile, Angela (Portia Doubleday) had succeeded sneaking into AllSafe before anyone else got to work and uploaded the virus-infected disk to her computer as per instruction by the blackmailer. However, when another employee checked into the office, she panicked and left.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Malek talked about his character's slow change of heart regarding Mr. Robot.

"If there's a way to accomplish what he would like to see happen with society with him having real human connections, then he's going to have to fight through some demons and fight through guys like Mr. Robot to have an influence on the world he lives in," he said.

Meanwhile, Slater revealed that Mr. Robot "may not really be a good person" and hinted that perhaps Elliot should be wary of him on the show.

"Certainly, Mr. Robot is an unpredictable and questionable character, without a doubt. You don't know exactly which direction he is particularly going to go in. Is he good? Is he bad? Mr. Robot's ideas would lead to a higher body count, certainly," the actor teased.

"Mr. Robot" airs Wednesday 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
