After months of speculations, fans have finally learned who the mysterious characters for "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 downloadable content (DLC) characters will be.

It was revealed that Leatherface, Bo Rai Cho, Tri-Borg, and Xenomorph are the characters that will arrive with the Kombat Pack 2 DLC.

The identities of these DLC characters were unveiled in the "Mortal Kombat X" trailer (below) shown at The Game Awards 2015, which was streamed live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles last Dec. 3.

Leatherface comes from the classic horror flick "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and he was seen using the iconic chainsaw as his weapon.

Bo Rai Cho, on the other hand, is a classic "Mortal Kombat" character. Known as the drunken master, he made his debut in "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance."

Xenomorph is another movie antagonist from the film "Alien" who will join the team of fighters.

The interesting bit about the DLC update is the reveal of Tri-borg, a character composed of Sektor, Cyrax, and Robot Smoke.

Fans have been waiting for this announcement for months after NeatherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon's teases on Twitter. However, some of them got their excitement spoiled since the characters were leaked ahead of the event. Nevertheless, fans are glad that their favorite characters will soon be featured in "Mortal Kombat X."

All these characters will be released once the DLC comes out, which is expected to be in the first quarter of 2016. There are no price details available for Kombat Pack 2 yet, but it could be around $30, based on the price of the previous DLC update, according to Gamespot.

Aside from the reveal of the new characters, "Mortal Kombat X" also bagged the title Best Fighting Game of the Year. The game competed against "Guilty Gear Xrd," "Rise of Incarnates," and "Rising Thunder."

"Mortal Kombat X" is an Xbox One, PlayStation and personal computer (PC) game released last April. The first DLC update introduced characters such as Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tremor, and Tanya.
