Mortal Kombat X fanatics will be happy to note that a new character will officially be available for the June.

The Tanya, the Ninja Warrior, will be the next DLC character. This was confirmed by creator Ed Boon who bared that the Edinian will be available as a Kombat Pack character next month. Unfortunately, Boon did not get into detail and the actual date when the Tanya DLC would actually be made available.

For those who are unaware, the character Tanya made her first appearance in Mortal Kombat 4. She has appeared in several other installments but only had a cameo role during the 2011 series reboot.

Tanya carries a ton of interesting finishers. That includes fatalities (Bloody Boots and Edenian Drill) and brutaltites like (Top Off, Romp Stomp, Backstabbed, Watch This and Pop Pop).

The imminent release of Tanya will thus append the roster of characters available for Mortal Kombat X. She follows Jason Voorhees who is already available for play. There will be two other DLC characters available in Predator and Tremor but there is no word for now on when the two characters would be made available.

Aside from the four DLC characters, another one could be made available soon. Boon reportedly teased at the possibility of Rain (DLC ) though there is no official word on whether this tease (or plan) would actually materialize.

Aside from the downloadable characters, NetherRealm Studios has also bared that new costumes for Liu Kang, Sonya Blade and Kano will also be available.

Mortal Kombat X has reportedly enjoyed the biggest launch in the franchise's history, topping the all-format gaming chart and ahead of another highly touted game in GTA 5 for the PC.

Mortal Kombat X is currently available for on the PC, Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.
