"Mortal Kombat X" fans are on a constant lookout for any news pertaining to its next expansion pack, Kombat Pack 3. While it is true that game director Ed Boon has been giving out clues all along for months, there is no evidence that it could arrive soon, for now.

Fans thought that a surprising news was about to arrive during the EVO 2016 event back in July because of a cryptic message that Boon posted a month earlier. It said, "evEn with the recent announcement of injustice 2 .... we'Ve got some cool mortal kombat x news cOming! :)." The capitalized E, V, and O on the message gave it away. However, nothing related to the DLC was mentioned at the concluded event.

Last month, Boon came up with a poll on Twitter, asking his followers if they would purchase the upcoming Xbox One S. The director gave three choices, "Yes," "No," and, though not related to the question, "Kombat Pack 3 Da**it." The third option garnered 13,613 votes that represented 66 percent of the total votes cast.

Things are much calmer nowadays. NetherRealm Studios, the game developer, does not want to talk about it yet, and Boon has stopped posting anything related to the game. The development team is probably busier now that the release date of "Injustice 2" is fast approaching, which is scheduled for next year.

Meanwhile, "Injustice 2" will be featuring several DC characters that include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Supergirl, the Flash, Atrocitus, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn and Deadshot.

According to the press release for the upcoming game, "'Injustice 2'offers the latest DC fighting game experience that expands on the previous title's larger-than-life showdowns. Every battle defines you in a game where players personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game."

Sindel, Baraka, Fujin, and Noob Saibot are several of the characters that fans are expecting to arrive with Kombat Pack 3, though fans will have to wait a little longer since no official news.
