"Minecraft: Pocket Edition" and the Windows 10 Beta Edition are getting new goods courtesy of the latest update from developer Mojang, which also serves as the first update of the year. The new wares are all about Redstone and how to build bigger things with it.
Last month, players of these versions of the popular sandbox game were finally granted access to Redstones, which are a very important element in the title as they allow players to build all sorts of contraptions. Mojang promised to enrich this integration further, thus this update comes about.
For the sole purpose of building "great things" in "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" and the Windows 10 Beta Edition, Mojang is dropping other useful Redstone cogs players can assemble with such as comparators, repeaters, dispensers, droppers, hoppers and trapped chests.
Along with these goodies are witches "that may lure you into wrong paths." Players are recommended to stay away from these creatures for peaceful and easy constructing. They have with them flying potions, which will either reduce a player's speed or worse, poison them.
Together with the update is another "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" and Windows 10 Beta Edition skin pack called Redstone Specialists, which the developer says were "inspired by the builds we've seen you create." The pack has 15 skins all for $1.99. The Artisan and Composer skins come free of charge.
Microsoft calls the "Minecraft" update for the Windows 10 Beta Edition the "Overworld" update. It teased that there will be spooky swamps to explore and that the poisonous potions can actually be stolen from them for players to use to their advantage.
Other details about the "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" and Windows 10 Beta Edition update includes the addition of item frames, pumpkin and mob head hats and a total of 10 million dye colors for players to choose from in changing the color of their pants via the cauldron.
