Microsoft Xbox One S holiday season bundles announced; lots of options for gamers

Microsoft is really pushing hard its Xbox One S, and the company has come up with several game bundles that gamers can choose from this holiday season.

"It's been an exciting year for Xbox fans and this holiday is the perfect time to get your hands on the top selling console in the U.S. and U.K. the new Xbox One S. It's the only console with built-in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and 4K video streaming including content from partners like Netflix and, coming soon, Amazon Video. In addition, the Xbox One S provides High Dynamic Range (HDR) for supported video and games like 'Gears of War 4,' 'Forza Horizon 3,' 'NBA 2K17' and 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,'" the announcement stated.

The available bundles are the Xbox One S "Gears of War 4: Limited Edition" Bundle (2TB), the Xbox One S "Gears of War 4" Bundle (1TB), and the "Gears of War 4: Special Edition" Bundle.

The Xbox One S "Gears of War 4" Limited Edition Bundle (2TB) comes with a custom-made red paint scheme that depicts a battle-weathered game console, a 2 TB hard drive, and a matching wireless controller with a metallic red D-pad. The bundle will include "Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition" that includes all the "Gears of War" games that will work on both the console and Windows 10 PC. It is available worldwide for $449.

On the other hand, the Xbox One S "Gears of War 4" Bundle (1TB) includes a 1 TB hard drive, a white-colored Xbox Wireless Controller, and a matching Xbox One S console. A copy of "Gears of War 4" is also included that will allow its owners to play either on the console or on a Windows 10 PC. This bundle is available for $349 around the world.

A "Gears of War 4" Special Edition Bundle is also available for $299 for U.S. and Australian gamers, and it is the basic "Gears of War" bundle promo. It contains 500 GB internal storage, and it will arrive with a deep blue colored-console that can be pre-ordered via Microsoft Stores (in both countries), Game Stop (for U.S.), and EB Games (for Australia).

Other bundles in the promo include the "Minecraft" Favorite Bundle (500 GB) for $299, the "Battlefield 1" Special Edition Bundle (1 TB) for $349, the "Battlefield 1" Bundle (500 GB) for $299, and the "Battlefield 1" Storm Grey Special Edition Bundle (500 GB) for $299. A "FIFA 17" Bundle (500 GB and 1 TB) is also available for $299 and $349.

Several new Xbox One accessories are also added to the available items this holiday season, including a personalized controller design via the Xbox Design Lab, Special Edition Stereo Headset, and a Black Xbox Wireless Controller.
