Mick Schumacher, the son of the legendary F1 racer Michael Schumacher, has started following his father's footsteps. The young Schumi is now a member of one of Europe's leading international racing teams that competes in Formula 4 and with great success. He may not say a word about his dad, but fans would love to see both father and son together on the track.

Prema Powerteam's latest talent includes the 17-year-old Mick, who has started his second year in the F4 category of motorsport racing. He started out in karting back in 2008, and will soon transition to Formula 3, but for now, he has to hone his racing skills, Pirelli reported

While most teens enjoy other things and wish that they can drive fast cars, Mick is already living that dream. He has already achieved several victories -- second and third in the current German campaign at Lausitzring -- while bagging two championship trophies during the Italian run, at the Misano and Imola tracks.

Mick was also able to describe his feeling about the motorsport during an interview with the said publication. He said, "Racing is what I dream of. Actually, racing is constantly on my mind. It's exhausting, it's difficult, it's challenging, it's complicated. It's simply awesome."

He added, "For the moment, my goal is to become a good and complete race driver. This means taking one step after another, working hard on myself and always giving my best. I am convinced, this is the only way to achieve your goals and I am very convinced that I will reach these goals. Because of this, it's important to me to have a solid base and to become confident in all areas racing will be confronting me with."

Meanwhile, news about Michael's health condition is still very scarce since the family has decided to keep things under wraps while he is recovering. The last news heard about the former Ferrari and Mercedes driver is that 15 medical experts are currently staying with him 24/7 to monitor his medical condition. This was the result of a skiing accident back in December 2013, where he suffered a severe head injury.
