Game publisher Konami rolled out Patch 1.12 last May 10 which brings several game improvements to its main game, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," and its online multiplayer game, "Metal Gear Online." Several bug fixes were also included.

"While this isn't a large update, since the launch of the DLC 'CLOAKED IN SILENCE' and the new SURVIVAL mode, Ver. 1.12 is mostly designed to refine and improve upon the newly added features," the company mentioned in its announcement.

Patch 1.12 includes the following:

  • Quiet, the unique character, can no longer be cross-examined
  • Players can now easily see the increase or decrease in rank right after every mission, on the mission results

Score changes:

  • Each mission score has been adjusted

Damage adjustments:

  • No more assist score if characters are put to sleep or get stunned
  • Damage from SVG-76 and M2000-D has been increased
  • Knockback and rate of fire for URAGAN-5 has been decreased
  • Stamina damage has been increased when landing into an enemy
  • Stamina damage has been decreased from cardboard box attacks and low kicks

Balance adjustments:

  • Consecutive diving is not allowed any more, with cool down implemented
  • Sprint duration after performing a dive has been reduced
  • Eliminated noise coming from cardboard box on prone position

Other adjustments:

  • Network quality will now be displayed for each player
  • A balanced number of players for each team will be a priority for AUTOMATCH and will disregard the preset party rule set by any team
  • Rush Mode is no longer an option in AUTOMATCH, except on the Xbox 360
  • Rush Mode will be available randomly
  • The time bonus XP for the SABOTAGE mission has been adjusted

PlayStation Lifestyle mentioned that Patch 1.12 ranges from 91MB up to 595MB in weight, depending on the platform.

"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is currently available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
