'Mass Effect: Andromeda' news: release postponed to 2017; developers promise greater freedom for players

 Bioware

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is set to be presented at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this month. However, its creator, Bioware, said in an update that the game will be delayed to early 2017.

The reason for this unforeseen delay is that this game intends to deliver its promise of giving its players a greater degree of freedom in terms of exploring new worlds, as well as complete exciting, heart-pounding missions and in the process meeting new and memorable characters. As such, instead of an end-of-the-year launch, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will instead be released around the first quarter of 2017.

In the same update, Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn said: "As we've been playing the game at the studio recently, it's showing us that we're taking the game in the right direction. But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be — that's our commitment from all of us to all of you."

With that, it can be expected that this newest installment will use a lot of features from the original trilogy, to the delight of its fans. However, it's expected for it to feature new and exciting content, as well as an immersive environment and storyline.

Furthermore, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will feature a brand-new protagonist, which can either be a male or female character. As the player starts their journey to Andromeda, they will be acquainted with new allies, friends, or even enemies, and unlike the previous games, they're given more freedom to decide on the places they'll go to, their means of transportation, and more importantly the kind of gameplay they want.

For fans who want more updates about the game, they can always follow members of the BioWare development team on Twitter, where they can see them reveal interesting bits of the game.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
