Manchester United vs Wolfsburg live stream: Watch Champions League football online (Game preview)

Manchester United will play Wolfsburg on Wednesday night as the English Premier League club look to get their Champions League campaign back on track following their opening game defeat to PSV Eindhoven. The game has a scheduled start time of 7.45 p.m. BST (2.45 p.m. ET) and can be watched online through live stream via the link below.

United will know how important today's game is, and how vital it is to pick up wins at home in the Champions League group stages.

After a shock loss in their opening game against PSV, United know they must claim three points today or risk falling out of the reckoning to win the group and face a fight just to qualify in second place in Group B.

A second loss today would put United up against it, and would put Wolfsburg six clear points ahead of United with just four games to go.

Wolfsburg won their opening game in Group B against CSKA Moscow, and will be hoping to cause an upset today at Old Trafford.

If United to at get things back on track tonight they will have to do it without Michael Carrick, who missed training for today's game and has been confirmed as out.

Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia are also doubtful for today's game as both have picked up slight knocks.

Even though United lost their opening game against PSV 1-2, since then they have done well domestically and have gone top of the English Premier League for the first time in two years.

Wolfsburg on the other hand had suffered a big defeat coming into this game, losing 1-5 to Bayern Munich last week in the Bundesliga.

If Wolfsburg are to win tonight they would become the first German team to win at Old Trafford since 2001 when Bayern Munich accomplished that feat. In addition, no German team has kept a clean sheet against United in their last 16 Champions League games against German opposition.

United have never lost their opening two games in the Champions League and will be looking to make sure that does not happen tonight.
