Madden NFL 16 cover featuring Odell Beckham Jr. EA Sports

The "Madden NFL 17" cover athlete craze has begun and fans can't wait anymore. EA Sports, the game developer, has announced that the cover athlete and the first gameplay trailer will be unveiled on May 12, Thursday, 6 p.m. EST/ 3 p.m. PST, on ESPN's SportsCenter. Fans can get the game by Aug. 23.

Followers of the game are bombarding EA Sports Madden NFL's Twitter account with their own versions for the cover of the upcoming game. A post was made immediately by Odell Beckham Jr. featuring an image of the upcoming game, which features himself on the cover. It also says, "Yoo @EAMaddenNFL first ever back 2 back #MaddenCover athlete ?!?!" The image looks very similar to a real cover of the game.

EA Sports replied," Hmmm... We'll find out Thursday 6 p.m. EST."

A few names that fans are rooting for for the game cover are Peyton Manning, Antonio Brown, Eddie George, and Khalil Mack.

Forbes reported that if Beckham is the chosen one, he should have known it prior to the event, and there is a big chance that he didn't make the cut if he's still campaigning to grace the cover. The image posted is probably fan-made.
