Lenovo K5 Note release dates, specs, features, and price details

Lenovo K5 Note unveiled. A more improved successor to K4 Note. Lenovo China Official

Lenovo introduced the new K4 Note earlier this month and just shortly after, the tech company released its new smartphone, the K5 Note.

Among the most significant improvements found in K5 Note are its full metal design and a more responsive Mediatek Helio P10 SoC with 64-bit eight-core processor.

The smartphone, which sports a 5.5-inch display, also has a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage capacity, offering microSD support for more space.

While the K5 Note has received an improvement in the processor field, the same thing cannot be said for its RAM. Its predecessor, the K4 Note, has 3 GB.

As for the camera specs, Lenovo K5 Note has a 13-megapixel main image snapper. It also features a phase detection autofocus. The selfie shooter is at 8 megapixels.

The phone also has dual 1.5W speakers placed on the front. The device also supports microSIM, WiFi, and Bluetooth and a fingerprint sensor is located at the back. The fingerprint sensor feature can be reportedly used to make payments and take photos.

It also has a proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor. K5 Note packs up a 3,500 nonremovable mAh battery and has fast charging capabilities. It comes with an Android 5.1 Lollipop as the preinstalled operating system (OS).

The K4 Note was initially designed to target the Indian market, but the smartphone will arrive in China first with a price tag of 1,099 Yuan, which is around $167. Android Authority reports that pre-registration is already live as the device will have its first flash sale set to begin this week.

Generally, the K5 Note sports somewhat similar specs as its predecessor, but with minor significant improvements.

So far, Lenovo has not announced a date for the official release of the device in other parts of the world.
