'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date news: E3 2016 will showcase new trailer; Additional Disney characters included in game

"Kingdom Hearts III" will feature a San Fransokyo world, with all the characters coming along. Kingdom Hearts

"Kingdom Hearts 3" fans are rejoicing as they are about to witness a new trailer for the soon-to-be-released game. It is expected to be shown at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016. Another reason for fans to be happy is the inclusion of several more Disney characters.

Gaming Bolt earlier reported that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature additional Disney characters, though it may not be what many fans have been thinking of in the past. The upcoming game from Square Enix will be featuring "Big Hero 6" and "Tangled" characters, Baymax and Rapunzel. They will join the rest of the gang that includes Sora, who is once again the protagonist, and Raiku, King Micky, Donald Duck, Goofy and Masters Xehanort and Eraqus.

With the inclusion of the two Disney movies, contents such as San Frantokyo and Kingdom of Corono will be featured as well. This will be an addition to Mt. Olympus from the "Hercules" movie. However, it has been also known in the community that fans are longing for the characters and contents of "Zootapia" and, especially, "Frozen," though it seems that they will not be arriving in the game.

Marve Comics and "Star Wars" characters are also on the wish list of many game fans, but it may not happen for now, The Christian Times added.

The Koalition previously reported that "Kingdom Hearts 3" fans can expect additional information about the game at the upcoming E3 2016, according to Hironori Okayama, "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X" producer. Now that the said event is about to happen next week, fans are looking forward to a new trailer to be revealed which will hopefully feature the new characters and contents.

With regards to the release date, nothing is concrete yet, but "Kingdom Hearts 3" is not among the planned games to be released by Square Enix within the current fiscal year. But the game can have an April 2017 release date at the earliest.
