The latest trailer of the role-playing game "Kingdom Hearts 3" by Disney and Square Enix presented during the D23 conference last July left fans speechless and excited. Sora, Goofy, and Donald are finally going on an adventure with Buzz Lightyear and Woody from "Toy Story." Other than Toy Story, the game will also visit the world of "Big Hero 6" and "Tangled." The game will also feature old realms including Olympus, Twilight Town, and Mysterious Tower. The big question is, what other Disney worlds will the game include?
It was a great turnout when Disney acquired Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. With that, fans had been making assumptions that the game will include any Marvel Universe or maybe even Star Wars. However, because of active contract agreements and licensing deals, these worlds have been ruled out.
There have been dozens of suggestions for additional worlds to appear in the role-playing game. Among the top suggestions include "Wreck it Ralph" and "Frozen." "Kingdom Hearts" gamers are eager to see Sora alongside Ralph in the virtual world and Elsa in Arendelle. There are no confirmations that these worlds will even be included, but fans are hopeful that the developers would at least consider.
According to Polygon, the game allows players to deploy more than three characters at the same time rather than swapping Donald or Goofy out for a new character.
Ever since "Kingdom Hearts 2," fans have also been urging the developers to include Disney movie classics like "Treasure Planet" and "The Incredibles." Co-director of "Kingdom Hearts 3" Tetsuya Nomura did share some interesting information to IGN about new summons in the game that would allow other characters to appear in the game just like Stitch in "Kingdom Hearts 2." He also mentioned Sora, Goofy, and Donald are going to deal with the Organization XIII and Disney' villains separately. "They have no sort of cooperation, nor are they conflicting or enemies against those people."
The game will be released in 2018. So far, no new updates and news have surfaced about the development of the game.
