Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom update: Kardashian remains by estranged husband's side despite rumors

Khloe Kardashian may have stayed beside her estranged husband Lamar Odom and their divorce plans have been put on hold, but that doesn't mean their relationship is going well.

A source told Us Weekly that the former National Basketball Association (NBA) star told the reality TV personality to "get out" of his hospital room in Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, where he's being treated, on Oct. 23.

This revelation follows after Odom reportedly heard bad things about his ex, coming from people who are close to him.

Us Weekly reported that a source close to the Odom family said that Kardashian controlled the 35-year-old athlete's kids and stopped them from visiting him.

Reports about Kardashian using Odom's health crisis as a ticket to more fame also surfaced. With all these accusations, Odom reportedly said that "he needed space" and "wanted to be alone" and that's why he requested for her to get out.

While Odom is continuing with his recovery, Kardashian is promoting her new book titled "Strong Looks Better Naked," in which she slammed her sister Kim's ex-husband, Kris Humphries, for not treating her right, ET Online reported.

Odom, who turns 36 today, has stayed in the hospital for almost a month, but a new report from Us Weekly stated that he may soon be discharged.

The report didn't mention the exact date of Odom's release from hospital care, but there were rumors claiming that he could sign up for rehab by next week.

A source for Odom did reveal that he is "doing better slowly but surely," adding that the former Los Angeles Lakers star is still coordinating with therapists.

The source continued to share Odom's progress with his motor skills, but it could still take more time before he fully recovers.

Both Odom and Kardashian are among the latest hot topics in the entertainment industry. Despite the rumors, Kardashian remains to be by his side, tending to his needs at the hospital.
