Justin Bieber, Hailee Steinfeld dating rumors: 'No truth whatsoever' to the rumors, says Steinfeld's rep

Singer-actress Hailee Steinfeld has shut down the rumors that she is dating popular hitmaker Justin Bieber.

There are rumors that the two have been dating for about a month after allegedly being introduced to each other by pastor Carl Lentz of Hillsong Church. Speculations ignited even more when Bieber was photographed FaceTiming Steinfeld last month, and especially when they were spotted together after the 2017 Met Gala in New York City earlier this week.

However, it looks like the reports that the two personalities are a couple are far from true. According to E! News, Steinfeld's representative has already denied the claims, saying that there is "no truth whatsoever" to the dating rumors.

In fact, during Steinfeld's recent appearance on the SiriusXM Morning Mash Up program, she was asked by one of the hosts if she was dating the 23-year-old "Sorry" singer and to this she replied, "No I am not. I know it's crazy, I don't know why people make such a big deal."

She also admitted that she and Bieber have been friends for years, which means the reports that they were recently introduced by a pastor is not true.

To add more proof that Steinfeld and Bieber's romance is nothing but a rumor is the fact that the female pop star currently has a non-celebrity boyfriend, 20-year-old Cameron Smoller from Malibu.

While 20-year-old Steinfeld may have not made any official announcement regarding her relationship with Smoller, their social media accounts have plenty of photos of them together that prove their romantic relationship.

Bieber, on the other hand, is reportedly still single, but had been romantically linked to several personalities such as Sofia Richie, Nicola Peltz, Hailey Baldwin, Kourtney Kardashian, Chantel Jeffries, and many more. His on-and-off relationship with Selena Gomez ended back in 2014.
