Justin Bieber encourages fans: 'Be still' in God's presence and 'He will give you true rest'

Right after posting a photo of himself praying alongside singers Kanye West and Puff Daddy, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber this time shared a photo that is encouraging people to "be still" in God's presence.

"Remember there's a God that loves you and is [there] for you. Be still in His presence [and] He will give you true rest," Bieber captioned the photo on his Instagram account (@justinbieber).

Bieber's post has received over 1.3 million likes and over 33,000 comments. Many of his fans thanked him for sharing inspirational posts, while there were a couple who got into an argument regarding his faith.

"Thank you Justin for being His Light. I needed this today," a fan wrote. "I look up to you so much and love you as a person even though we have never met. Your testimony has greatly impacted me and know that I am praying for you [too]."

"That's true JB, just trust in God. Don't lose faith and hope. Believe in Him because He's just the only one who knows what your heart's desires [are] and knows your flaws and loves you for who you are. Stay religious and prayerful JB. Praise the Lord! God bless you!" another commented.

Earlier, Bieber expressed his desire to turn back from his past and live a life of a true Christian. The 21-year-old singer told Complex Magazine, "I just [want to] honestly live like Jesus. Not be Jesus. I don't want that to come across weird. He created a pretty awesome template of how to love people and how to be gracious and kind," he said.

Even if Bieber sometimes does not feel like doing the right thing, he would simply consider what Jesus would do in his shoes. He would think, "I'm pretty sure Jesus didn't feel like going to the cross and dying so that we don't have to feel what we should have to feel. What Jesus did when he came to the cross was basically say, 'You don't have to feel any of that stuff.'"
