Another World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend could be taken out of WWE.com soon and follow the footsteps of Hulk Hogan. He is none other than Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, a high-flying wrestler in the 80s best known for his feud with the late Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Snuka was charged Tuesday with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of his deceased girlfriend, Nancy Argentino.

The issue happened 32 years ago. Argentino was found lifeless at a hotel room in Whitehall Township in Pennsylvania. Snuka, who was in town for a WWE taping that year, claimed that he found Nancy unresponsive at that time. Argentino would pass away the next day.

Based on autopsy results, Argentino died of traumatic brain injuries and showed more than three dozen bruises and cuts on her body. It was believed that the markings were consistent of being hit with a stationary object.

The unsolved case has been in the air for years now. The case was only reopened when the Argentinos pressured the authorities on the case.

Now at 72, Snuka has maintained his innocence on the matter, but it seems that his autobiography may have shown something related to the incident as reported by TMZ .

As far as the WWE is concerned, all things like mentions and photos pertaining to the Superfly have been removed. Aside from this, his non-wrestling Legends contract has been temporarily suspended pending the results of the ongoing investigation.

While his case is technically on hold for now, the eventual outcome would depend on the legal matters after the said issue is settled.

So for now, it is safe to say that Snuka has not been totally erased from the WWE scene, although if proven guilty, he may likely follow the plight of fellow wrestler Hulk Hogan who has been totally removed from the WWE site.
