Netflix just released a teaser for the new Marvel superhero series "Jessica Jones."

"Jessica Jones" serves as the second Marvel series in a team-up between the superhero comic books company and the online streaming service, which agreed to release two more superhero stories until they finally unite in another miniseries.

"Jessica Jones" will star Krysten Ritter playing the titular role, alongside David Tennant playing the show villain Kilgrave, and Mike Colter as Luke Cage, who will also get his own series in the future.

It was confirmed that "Daredevil's" Rosario Dawson will also appear in the upcoming TV series playing her character Claire Temple, as reported in Screen Crush.

Jessica was once a superhero named Jewel who, after being tortured mentally, decided to retire from her role and open up a private detective office instead. In the comics, Luke is also her husband.

After her retirement, Jessica Jones became an important character in the world of Marvel Universe.

Her character first appeared in 2001 in "Alias" (not related to Jennifer Garner's show in any way.)

According to Time, "Alias" belonged to a more mature category of comics and included some explicit scenes.

The news outlet also reported that the upcoming series will stick closely to the comics, which is why Netflix has been advertising it as a psychological thriller.

"Daredevil" and "Jessica Jones" will soon be joined by Luke Cage and Iron Fist, getting their own miniseries on Netflix, before all of them come together in a planned "Defenders" TV series.

Luke Cage series is reportedly filming in New York under code name Tiara, reports stated.

Meanwhile, Melissa Rosenberg of the popular "Twilight" franchise and Showtime's "Dexter" will be the showrunner for "Jessica Jones," which will have thirteen episodes.

"Jessica Jones" will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 20.
