Apple has just introduced the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus but that doesn't seem to stop rumors about the arrival of iPhone 7.

The news on iPhone 7 release date is not surprising, considered it started circulating long before the current iPhones were released. Nothing has been confirmed by the tech giant but based on the company's track record, there are hints that could be picked up about the iPhone 7, as noted by Know Your Mobile.

According to a report from the media outlet, the upcoming Apple phone will have a redesigned chassis and carry a new processor that has the same 2 GB RAM. The iPhone 7 is also expected to feature the same imaging technology as the current phone models, but will probably have higher resolution.

Other reports also have stated what people can expect from the phone.

According to PC Advisor, if Apple aims to up its game, it should offer a 12-megapixel iSight camera for the iPhone 7 to top the 8-megapixel shooter that comes in 6 and 6 Plus.

In addition, it is expected that Apple will also apply changes to the screen pixel count to have edge over other smartphones of today.

There are speculations indicating that the phone will come with a pre-installed iOS 10, although the software has not been released yet.

There's that possibility that iPhone 7 will also have a waterproof feature. Several reports suggest that the company is experimenting with prototypes in China that have such capabilities.

If such rumor proves to be true, it would definitely be a huge step for Apple since there are already Android phones equipped with this feature.

Apple has yet to make a statement about all these rumors. As for the release date, nothing has been set on stone, but if Apple's tradition should be followed, one would likely see an iPhone 7 introduced in September 2016.
