iOS 9 release may feature for older Apple iPhones and iPads

Good news for users of older Apple devices: the tech giant is rumored to be working on a way to make its upcoming operating system, the iOS 9, not just available for newer iPhones and iPads.

A report posted on Yahoo! Tech said the iOS 9 can be downloaded in the iPhone 4s and the iPad 2.

It can be remembered that Apple's most current available operating system, iOS 8, was not made available for users of the iPhone 4.

A report on Gizmodo.com meanwhile said that the iOS 9 may be launched by Apple during the autumn, most likely around August, along with the release of the next iteration of its iPhones.

BGR.com meanwhile reported about three new features that are rumored to be experienced by Apple users who will download the upcoming iOS 9.

According to the tech website, Apple is reportedly working on a way to add a "Trusted Wi-Fi" feature in the iOS 9. This involves higher levels of encryption so that the device will not be connected in wireless networks which have not been identified by the Apple user as "trusted."

Another security feature that is rumored to come with Apple's upcoming operating system is the so-called "Rootless." This will supposedly be a kernel-level feature which will make it harder for Apple devices to be jailbroken.

The "Rootless" feature will supposedly "prevent even administrative-level users from being able to access certain protected files on Apple devices."

Lastly, the iOS 9 is rumored to feature a new syncing process that "offers better end-to-end encryption."
