iOS 9.2 jailbreak: How close are the hackers to getting a new jailbreak solution?

The latest iOS jailbreak tool from Pangu Pangu

It seems that Apple and the jailbreak teams Pangu and Tai G are working hard to go around iOS 9.1 and 9.2 — with the former trying to protect its firmware and the latter attempting to jailbreak it.

According to the latest update, Pangu is raising its efforts to go around the most recent firmware update for iOS 9. Several reports mentioned that the hack team is already close to getting the solution.

Day Herald gathered that Pangu has already launched a "semi-jailbreak" solution intended for iOS 9.1. However, it was noted that the tool does not offer complete functions and components. With that said, the tool is not recommended, and users should exercise caution when downloading it to avoid any device problems.

For those who are interested in checking out the semi-jailbreak tool, they should go to Pangu's official website via a Safari web browser.

Meanwhile, iOS 9.2 is already finalized and available for all users to download. The firmware update is not a major one; it only serves as minor fixes for bugs, and it brings security updates as well.

The current jailbreak will only apply to iOS 9 versions, 9.0.1 and 9.0.2. Those who want to keep browsing for unique themes need to avoid upgrading their devices into the latest firmware. Doing so will only lose the jailbreak and users can no longer downgrade to the previous OS.

With iOS 9.2 in place, it's expected that Pangu will soon have the jailbreak solution, although a release date is something that fans will look forward to.

Until then, iOS 9 users will just have to wait for announcements — if there will be any. According to Gotta Be Mobile, it's hard to predict the next release date for the new solution because hackers don't usually discuss their work to the public.

An iOS 9.2 jailbreak will likely pop out randomly without notice.
