Apple has not launched iOS 9 yet, but rumors about the launch of an iOS 10 are already circulating online.

According to reports, a new iOS 10 is likely to come out in 2016 and they also pointed out the new software's possible features.

One of the notable features, according to sources who told Business Insider, is the new iCloud Voicemail.

According to the sources, Apple is working on a voicemail service to let Siri answer calls and convert them to voicemail messages.

The iCloud service then sends the voicemail message, which had been transcribed into SMS. This means that the recipient would not have to take time to listen to voicemails.

Voicemails tend to give recipients a hard time, as pointed out in iDigitalTimes. Why bother leave a voice message when one can always send an SMS, which is easier and quicker to read? Besides, today's gadgets have enough storage capacity to hold thousands of messages in the inbox.

Despite the fact that it is easier to deal with text messages, some people, particularly the old generation, just find it necessary to leave a voice message because delivering messages orally is a lot quicker than typing them.

In contrast, the younger people don't like voice messages. To solve this dilemma, Apple is reportedly working on Siri to bridge the gap.

It's still not clear if having Siri transcribe voice mail messages would require the user to sign up with a carrier support.

Apple is currently teamed up with select operators for its voicemail service, according to Engadget.

There are also no details available on whether or not the transcription service would be free of charge. Still, the service could be of great help to old and young iPhone users, as Business Insider pointed out.

The service is reportedly being tested and if it proves to be very useful, Apple fans could expect a 2016 launch together with the new software.

For now, the features are just speculations and Apple has yet to make a confirmation on such.
