Sunny is joined by a young boy M.K. (Aramis Knight), both of whom are traveling together through the dangerous wasteland seeking enlightenment. The regular cast includes Marton Csokas as Quinn, Orla Brady as Lydia, Sharah Bolger as Jade, and Emily Beecham as Minerva. They are joined by and Oliver Stark as Ryder, Madeleine Mantock as Veil, Ally Ioannides as Tilda.

The series was created by Al Gough and Miles Millar. The duo have been working together for a few years now and some of their known movies include "Lethal Weapon 4," "Shanghai Noon," " Shanghai Knights," "and Spider-Man 2." Their TV series works include "Black Jaq," Made Men," and "Smallville." They are also working together on "The Shannara Chronicles" for MTV.

"Into the Badlands" season 2 will feature 10 episodes and will premiere sometime in 2017.
