While both Disney and Lucasfilm are busy with the new Star Wars project, which includes videos, movies, and books, there's nothing confirmative about the other Lucasfilm franchise, "Indiana Jones."

Rumors that a fifth installment to the popular adventure film would soon happen have been circulating for some time now. These speculations started out after the release of the fourth movie, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

Recently, Disney bought Lucasfilm and this revived the speculations that a fifth movie will be made.

Indeed it will, according to president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, but it wasn't indicated when, according to a report from ComingSoon.

There were also reports that "Jurassic World's" Chris Pratt will also take on the role originally played by Harrison Ford.

However, Pratt denied the rumors that he'll be playing the iconic role, saying that no one has contacted him.

In a report from Slashfilm, it was mentioned that the actor was indeed approached by someone from Indiana Jones, but it seems that an offer was not in the talks.

Pratt even said that Jurassic World producer Steven Spielberg did not talk about it either. Since the producer didn't bring it up and the actor didn't bring it up, so there's no way of knowing.

Other than rumors of Pratt starring in an Indiana Jones franchise, there was also news that the movie will be slated for release in 2018, despite the fact that producer Frank Marshall, also husband of Kennedy, said there were no discussions about the movie.

This may have come from a report by Ain't It Cool News (AICN) that claimed their sources at Lucasfilm said the company is looking at a tentative release date of December 2018.

So what's in store for the fifth Indiana Jones movie? Nothing concrete as of the moment and Dr. Jones' fans just have to wait for further announcement.

Meanwhile, Lucasfilm is moving forward with its new Star Wars film, "Star Wars: The Force Awakes," which will be released by December this year.
