In a matter of days, Katniss will wage war for the people of Panem and end President Snow's ruthless oppression in "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Part 2. Lionsgate also expects the girl on fire to hit a $120 million target on its opening day.

Variety believes this is relatively low compared to "Mockingjay" Part 1, which netted $121.9 million on opening day. However, analysts believe that the final film in the young adult franchise based on the dystopian saga Suzanne Collins has what it takes to open to $125 million.

Nonetheless, in the event the flick hits either of the estimates, "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Part 2 will still be hailed the fourth biggest opening for this year, closely trailing blockbuster films "Jurassic World," "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Furious 7."

Globally, the film is expected to scoop up around $285 million to $305 million. If the movie performs as expected, Deadline says that it will be just narrowly beat its "Mockingjay" Part 1 record, which launched worldwide to $276.2 million.

"Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Part 2 will mark the end of one of the biggest film franchises today. Here, fans will witness the districts come together to wage war on The Capitol and President Snow.

It is this saga that made Oscar award-winner Jennifer Lawrence, who played and was loved as Katniss Everdeen and Panem's brave savior, an A-list star.

The franchise being a big part of the star's life, watching it end was very difficult, she said. "I think it will be pretty bizarre when the movie is finally out and everything is officially done," Lawrence said via India Times. "This movie has been my life for so many years," she added.

Just recently, Lionsgate cancelled red carpet interviews during the film's premiere in Paris in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks. "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Part 2 has already premiered in several regions, namely London, Berlin, Madrid and Beijing and will be out Nov. 20 in the US.
