The latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update is something that most users are looking forward to but that would depend on the kind of phone you have. Among the handsets are the HTC owners where the said update is already available.

However, it may be wise to hold off from applying the said update for now especially with various reports of performance issues that HTC One M8 users have reported once they applied Android Lollipop 5.0.

To date, Android 5.0 Lollipop is available to most U.S. carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon. Unless you want to find out for yourself and see what performance issues they are talking about, well go ahead.

Among the issues that HTC One M8 users are experiencing right now include app freezes, battery drains and even forced reboots. Those mentioned alone don't speak well unless you are looking for headaches from your trusty device.

Apps freeze when heavy gaming is in play. Though some may not immediately find that out, folks who do use their phones for games as well may find these issues quite uncomfortable.

Originally, the Android 5.0 Lollipop was believed to be something that could improve battery life. Sad to say, it has been the exact opposite according to HTC One M8 users since the battery drains faster than before.

The HTC Sense UI is likewise something that has become a problem, forcing most users to reboots.

The good news is that all these issues may be resolved soon as Google will reportedly release Android Lollipop 5.1 for the HTC One M8. Though no official date has been revealed, users will have to wait for it so that all the said issues can be resolved and hopefully no further issues arise.
