Oliver has been helping the Keating Five since the beginning because of his relationship with Connor. Now that the character has been promoted as a series regular, will he be working with Annalise's chosen ones on a more permanent basis?

Executive Producer Peter Nowalk hints that the couple's opposing views on the matter may pose some conflict for the pair in the third season as Oliver will be completely on board with the plan while Connor, who is naturally protective of his boyfriend, will be completely against the idea. It will not take long for viewers to figure out that this will be one of the major issues for the series.

"That's the question of the first episode ... Oliver really wants to be folded into the group. He has a naughty side and he sees the fun in the dark. But [boyfriend] Connor, as we've seen, is against it. Also, the question remains, does Annalise want him anywhere around her? So we're going to address that in the first episode," he said in an interview with TVLine.

TVLine's Michael Ausiello also shared that NYPD Blue alum Esai Morales will most likely be playing Laurel's dad when the show returns for Season 3. Dexter alum Luna Velez, meanwhile, will also join the cast to the play the headmistress of the university where Annalise is teaching.

Meanwhile, Amy Madigan, who had a stint in another Shondaland show Grey's Anatomy will also be joining the cast for a yet undisclosed role.

According to Viola Davis, who plays lead character Annalise Keating, the mystery for this season will pose a big challenge to fans of the show since the cast members themselves were stumped even when they have already read the script.

"We have been sitting on set, all of us, in different groups, and just talking about the mystery that's going to be revealed. We cannot figure it out! Last year we could figure it out, especially Alfie Enoch. They are just highly intelligent kids. But this year, cannot figure it out!" she said.

Season 3 premieres on ABC this September 22.
