How Paul Walker's family honours the actor's legacy

Paul Walker works on his non-profit organization ROWW. ROWW

The legacy of American actor Paul Walker, who last starred in the highly anticipated Furious 7 film, is still very much alive thanks to his non-profit organisation Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), and his family is intent on keeping the charity organisation going in honour of the late actor.

Walker tragically died in a car crash back in November 2013 during a charity event for ROWW. He was 40.

Not only did he leave a legacy in Hollywood, but the actor also left a legacy of goodwill through ROWW - a charity that responds to areas that have been stricken by natural calamities. His organisation was one of the many that responded to Haiti back in January 2010 after it was hit by a massive earthquake.

"When you put goodwill out there, it's amazing what can be accomplished," said Walker previously.

His brother Cody, who stepped in as Walker's body double in Furious 7, has also stepped in for him with ROWW. Last November, Cody went to the Philippines and provided free medical clinics and flu vaccinations to those in need.

"The mission to the Philippines was a life-changing experience for all involved," ROWW's Felicia Knox told PEOPLE. "And being that Cody was a working paramedic on an ambulance prior to joining ROWW, the transition to ROWW has been a great fit."

As for Cody's work on Furious 7, Paul's brother said that the experience enriched him and he felt like he "just tripled my family in the last year."

"I've known them for the last 15 years, but not at this level. It does feel like family," he said about the whole cast and crew of Furious 7.

Cody is pleased with the movie, and he is certain that his brother would have loved what they have done with it too. "I'm so happy with it. It was just so tastefully done and a great ending after everything," he said.
