'House of Cards' season 4 plot theories: Will there be a renewal for a fourth season?

House of Cards Season 3 Wikipedia

Ideally, shows would get renewed for another season before their current one ends. "House of Cards" is a TV series that has undoubtedly gained a lot of followers and is a show that obviously deserves one. The problem is that Netflix has not made any official announcement of such which practically leaves the show, its stars and fans in the balance.

"House of Cards" Season 3 officially ended with Claire Underwood leaving her husband Frank Underwood who is currently in the middle of scandals and preparations for the upcoming elections.

Rumors about a Frank-Claire split was to be expected and something that had been mentioned before. And as Frank tries to manage his share of scandals to stay in power, the plans of Claire are now what many are hypothesizing about. What will she be up to now?

So as far as season 4 goes, the most likely setup is that it would focus on the said elections and what comes next after the Frank-Claire split. Will Claire run for public office as well? How will Frank deal with this dilemma once it goes public?

Speaking of their divorce being known, it may likely will. With Frank hiring an author named Tom Yates to write a book about his politics, Yates instead writes about the marriage of Frank and Claire. The book practically sums up how Frank took his marriage for granted to focus on the Presidency.

In the next season as well, Frank may eventually learn that he needs allies to back him up if he wants to stay in power. Such is a reality in politics and knowing how to swim with the tide could be another scenario we may see from Frank Underwood.

With these facts sorted, it seems apparent that rumors about the fourth season tackling on Frank and Claire's relationship is a given. And within those storylines will remain subplots, twists and more.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, it would be best to hear that the "House of Cards" will get a fourth season. For now, Netflix has yet to make it official.
