HBO Now is launching new movies for next month. The Saturday night premieres are especially tasteful. While the waning of summer is unsettling, HBO's new list of new and classic movies can easily make September a welcome turn on the calendar.

Reese Witherspoon stars in "Wild," a film about a young woman's thousand-mile journey in her attempt to get away from the pain of a failed marriage and the death of a loved one. Although the journey is treacherous and reckless, she is rewarded in the end with a stronger resolve for life and ultimately, healing. It streams on HBO Now starting Sept. 5.

"Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tombs" will also be on HBO Now starting Sept. 12. In this third installment in the "Night at the Museum" series of films, Larry (Ben Stiller) goes into a journey to London to preserve the magic of the Tablet of Ahkmenrah. New and favorite characters join forces to deliver another irresistible adventure in the other side of the Atlantic.

"Exodus: Gods and Kings" will reveal a retelling of a classic story of Moses and the Pharaoh of Egypt. The bond of brothers is felt stronger here and so do the inevitable realities of their lives that tear them apart. Viewers can enjoy this Ridley Scott film as he tries to put a new kind of drama and action to an age-old narrative. The movie will start streaming on HBO Now on Sept. 19.

Angelina Jolie's directorial debut did not disappoint with the depth of the drama of "Unbroken," a movie based on the life of Louis Zamperini. The Olympian who joined the armed forces in WWII got caught by the Japanese after a harrowing plane crash over the Pacific. Viewers can witness the man's triumph over adversity and his dogged determination to survive. "Unbroken" streams on HBO Now starting Sept. 26.

HBO Now will also release this September some of the best movies that made it to the big screen. The ballet drama "Center Stage," the police drama "The Departed," the love story of Jack and Rose in "Titanic," and the feel-good flick "Bring it on" will start streaming next month.
